Some of these fouls we hard fouls and some were just fouls. However, these parents who call for red cards for every foul need to learn the game. Most of the times these parents are the rich elites who don't want anyone to touch their boy.

opening up another lane: of all the US ref/angry parents -content this was the first time the level of play was not shockingly horrible. I mean, this would probably pass as a JV/ mixed varsity side here in Europe. It would help if their artificial turf had less granulate and they could use their speed more...

I’m a referee, and I’ll weigh in. I can see this going either way. It certainly looks like Blue got the ball first, which players tend to view as a clean tackle. However, his momentum takes him through Green, which is justification for calling a foul. The referee would have to consider several factors, including the age and sex of the players, the skill level, past decisions he’s made in that match, the location on the pitch, and the overall “temperature” of the contest. I’m inclined to let it go, but it feels like a “damned if you do, damned if you don’t” moment for the referee.

So funny that grown men who have played for years still think that if you touch the ball first it can never be a foul….

A normal straight red is just a Sunday league yellow.

Definitely red card. The guy in red should have tried to block the ball since he knew the guy in white would touch it first. By "blocking" it, I mean interrupt the trajectory the ball was about take. Instead, he threw his foot directly at the ball knowing he wouldn't get to it but, at least, would get the guy in white..................that's playing DIRTY!
